Run from Monday to Friday, you will gain a thorough understanding of areas such as meat, fish, shellfish, soups, sauces, pastry, pasta and bread. By the end of the course, your confidence in the kitchen will have come on leaps and bounds and you’ll have learnt cooked and developed a whole bible of recipes that you can take away with you and which you can return to time and time again. This is an excellent course for new cooks considering a career on super yachts, or chalets, or those students transitioning from interior roles to sole chef positions.
We run two certificate courses, in the four weeks, you will develop your confidence and learn the vital essentials of foundation level cookery, in the twelve weeks you will cover in detail each area of practical cookery, spending more time on developing all your skills and techniques, and increasing these to an intermediate level. Both courses will include an exam with a practical assessment.
