Our four week Essentials course is run twice a year. You will gain a comprehensive understanding of areas such as meat, fish & shellfish, soups, sauces, pastry, bread and a competent understanding of foundation level cookery.
There will also be theory time where menu planning, working to budget, and provisioning will be covered. As we are in the heart of Palma de Mallorca, a market visit will also be included to look at fresh fish and how to select correctly different cuts of meat and more.
This course works to a syllabus of Level 1 & 2 in Food Preparation and Cooking. Covering over 120 hours of practical cookery to enable you to cook to a professional standard for yachts, ski chalets, catering or a cafe or restaurant kitchen
