Our mymuybueno Cookery School Twelve Week Certificate is run once a year – each winter, with a break for Christmas, and it then resumes in January. The first eight weeks will work to a steady paced foundation level covering thoroughly all skills and increasing to a faster pace and intermediate level in your final four weeks.
This intensive programme is designed for individuals with a real passion for food and learning, from those and who wish to pursue a professional culinary career as a private chef on super yachts, luxury chalets or households and also to equip you to start your own catering business or work in a restaurant. This course is also very suitable for the enthusiastic home cook who would like to gain confidence cooking in their own homes.
Our syllabus is dictated by Level 1 & 2 in Practical Cookery, extensively covering everything in great detail, this is an intensive content course.
The course embraces all aspects of cookery, from basic principles to advanced professional techniques and covers a broad range of international cuisines and styles. You will be taught by a varied range of chef tutors who have or who are currently working as private chefs on super yachts, as well as chefs who work in busy restaurants, you will also be taught by Justine Murphy, our Principal and the CEO of mymuybueno. This way you will get all the very best benefits from each individual to gain the most out of the course.
The structure will be a vast amount of practical with a minimum of 280 hours. The course will run from Monday to Friday, with mid week demonstrations to balance the course and give you a rest from cooking. In this time we will also cover theory work, menu planning, food hygiene, costings, and have guest speakers and excursions. You will assessed on an ongoing basis, with a final assessment which will include writing a three course menu and cooking for a pop up dinner for real guests in our cookery school.
